In college I lived with an amazing Hawaiian family I met while a senior in high school. I worked at an overnight camp called Camp Highland in Ellijay, Georgia. The summer I worked there we were asked to do one week at day camp. The Beiber’s not only opened their home to 3 college students for a week, but they cooked for us, and opened their hearts to us. I will forever remember their generosity and kindness that week. Which leads me to tell you how they invited me into their home for a year while I was still finishing my degree. I learned so much about how to love big, speak softly and with purpose and take advantage of “happy day gifts”.
Fast forward years later where I was able to do Adam’s baby’s newborn session. It was like time had never passed. I loved coming into his home and having the honor of photographing his growing family.
This probably one of my favorite images because Adam served our country and his love for America is so contagious.
XOXO,
