While I was on maternity leave earlier this year I was brainstorming what I wanted to do for Mini Sessions throughout the year. A lavender farm came to mind as well as a cotton field, sunflower field and then it hit me like a load of bricks when I walked out my front door to my beautiful 1966 red mustang – VINTAGE CAR MINIS!
Although we couldn’t it get it up and running in time, I did have a plan B which if you have an old car, you always have to have a plan B. We loaded this beauty up on a Uhaul car trailer (with the help of two of our sweet neighbors ). Honestly, I think they saw us and felt bad that our baby was screaming in the jumperoo in the garage, a 100lb guy was steering this beast up a ramp being pushed by a 5’2″ little lady. We borrowed my mom’s truck and hauled it over to the family farm in Grayson.
Before everyone arrived, we decided to “test the light” and take a few pictures of us with the ‘Stang. Clearly it was meant to be because these will probably end up printed on canvases in our home!
Check out my favorite images from the day! These were so much fun, I may make it an annual thing!
Oh! I can’t forget to tell you about sweet Cami who brought her camera to take a picture of Ms. Jae with the family! How sweet is this?!? I think I’ve got an assistant in training!
