Walker Wedding (March 3, 2018) - BLOG 132

Alysha’s mom was actually my art/photography teacher in high school – “Mrs. B”! When I got a call from Mrs. B about a year ago, I was so excited to hear from her but also to hear that they wanted to use me as their wedding photographer! How cool is that??!? This is the same lady who taught me how to use my camera, how to use photoshop, what leading lines are and really spurred in me to start my own photography business and here am I, 10 years later photographing her youngest daughter’s wedding. Our God sure has a sense of humor.

This March wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. Alysha and Eric chose one of the sweetest venues to tie the knot I’ve been to in a long time. Blue Mountain Vineyards did not disappoint! Their facility was well thought out – white washed walls in the bridal suite, light grey walls in the reception hall with beautiful beams and WHITE lights in the industrial rustic chandeliers {a photographer’s dream}. The ceremony spot was overlooking the mountains with white chairs, a stone path and gorgeous cross. Even though it wasn’t peak vineyards season, none of that mattered because everything else made the venue gorgeous and a dream to photograph.

Their love for one another was so evident that day and you could just see how Eric cherished Alysha throughout the day. I love that they wanted to do a first look and it was so sweet!! I kept telling them that they were doing perfect and they looked amazing and they would just laugh at me saying “I bet you just say that”. But as you can see in the images below, they really did look perfect and I loved photographing them and their laughter and huge smiles.

Alysha’s sweet grandmother gifted her this dress from Affordable Bridal in Buford, GA and it literally fit her to a “T”!

The flowers surely made everything tie together and they were so gorgeous. If I got married again, this is what I would want. The very talented Juliann Shaffer-Edwards created these masterpieces.
